Agnihotra on Bali Satsang June 2016| Volume 44 #2 |New Era 73

Bali is a place where much of the ancient ways are still honored and practiced, yet much has also been forgotten, and the westernization of the culture seems to be gaining momentum among the youth here. As Smart Phones and the internet are having a major impact on the culture, the ancient knowledge of the Vedas has also returned and today we are blissfully witnessing a resurgence of interest in Agnihotra by locals and foreign visitors who come to Bali to partake of the beauty and reconnect with nature.

Agnihotra Goes to Harvard Satsang March/April 2016| Volume 43 #7 |New Era 73

I had an opportunity to demonstrate Agnihotra and present two talks at a conference on “The Spirit of Sustainable Agriculture,” held at the Harvard Divinity School from March 31 to April 1, 2016. The purpose of the conference was to bring together farmers, spiritual leaders and academics to explore the spirit of sustainable agriculture – past, present and future. There was an overwhelming response to the conference; the registrations had to be closed a couple of weeks before the event.

Organic Farming with Agnihotra: Wonderful Experiences in Australia Satsang January/February 2016| Volume 43 #6 |New Era 73

The impact of performing daily Agnihotra on our land has been significant, yet subtle. I also perform an Om Tryambakam Yajnya for 15 minutes before each Agnihotra, in a separate copper pyramid.

We own 70 bush acres in semi-arid conditions, in Central Victoria, Australia, and found producing organic vegetables, herbs and fruits quite a challenge.

Our topsoil was almost non-existent, but over the years, we have found that by regularly performing Agnihotra, along with organic farming principles, the soil and ecosystem on our property is now rich with healthy growth of plants, vegetables, fruit trees, insects, birds and wildlife.

Great Beginnings at Ancient Oaks Satsang June 2015 | Volume 43 #2 | New Era 72

When I came to Ancient Oaks last December, while in Baltimore for a visit, I felt as though the land was calling out to me, asking me to come be here, to be part of it. On that trip I was only able to stay for a few hours at the farm. When I left the feeling stayed with me and I knew I would be back. A few months later I was able to return in the dead of winter when nature was silent and sleeping under a blanket of snow. Still I felt as if something were speaking to me, quiet though it was. As the weather warmed and the snow melted away the voice grew stronger, growing with the pasture, the forest and the garden as they took on new life and became green again. Now, just past the summer solstice, that quiet voice has turned into a joyous song, a song sung by all of the beings that have made Ancient Oaks their home: the people, the plants, the cows, the wildlife, the nature spirits, devas and spiritual beings. A song those of us living here and everyone who visits or helps from afar are wrapped up in and are part of.

Centre of Light–Ark of Fire Satsang May 2015 | Volume 43 #1 | New Era 72

“This Centre of Light is to provide sanctuary, refuge for coming times.”

It is with great joy that we announce that the construction of the Centre of Light at Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya in Poland has begun!

On May 17th 2015, Shree Gajanan Maharaj’s birthday, we performed a powerful Rudra Yajnya with all the community and close friends present. Afterwards, on this beautiful spring day we officially broke ground. One by one, we took shovels and dug into the earth where the Centre of Light will stand. Two days later, contractors arrived to begin the excavation work.
