For the past fifty-some years, the Baltimore Homa Community has been a spiritual anchor in this city, across the state, even into DC. We have shared Homa fire wherever we are, teaching Agnihotra, demonstrating with our personal lives the endless benefits of practicing this daily discipline. We managed to maintain a continuous Homa fire, 24 hours every day for seventeen years, and we were one of the first places in America where a Resonance Point was established with daily healing fires. Noni Faruq, Ross Ford, Mimi Bennett, Fred Clifton, Jamal Wilson are a few of the folks who helped get this ball rolling back in the 1970s. Fifty years later, thousands of folks have experienced Homa fire, and hundreds have made Agnihotra a part of their lives.

One of our missions was to get a farm where we could keep the fires going and grow produce organically. We were able to do that in 2014.

Another mission was to bring as many children as possible from the inner city out to our Ancient Oaks Homa Farm in Westminster, Maryland, for free. We were able to do that as well, hosting close to 1,000 children, teens and adult staff over three summers.

During the 2015 Baltimore Uprising after the death of Freddie Gray, we gathered in Druid Hill Park for five days performing sunset Agnihotra fires to saturate the atmosphere with much-needed calming energy.

Agnihotra at Rappahannock Red Tent Sisterhood Event

Ed.

For several years, Agnihotra has been part of many meetings and events of the Rappahannock Red Tent Sisterhood.  Red Tent groups can be found all over the world.

Cherl Crews, Facilitator of Roaming Red Tent Global Community, writes, “The mission of Rappahannock Red Tent Sisterhood is to provide a safe, private forum where women (and non-male identifying people) are always welcome, nurtured, respected, and honored and to connect the feminine community of Rappahannock County, Virginia.

“We come in our female bodies to dance and celebrate our divine feminine being during private gatherings, community potlucks, and public events.

“Our solidarity is based on shared conditions, experiences, or concerns and you are encouraged to share with and advocate for other women, strengthen community bonds, fortify trust and compassion, and create positive change in the world.

“A great rising is upon us ~ Welcome to your Sisterhood.

“’Where the Goddess Shines ~ Communities Flourish’”

Activities at the gatherings vary, and may include sharing a meal, heartfelt discussions, singing, dancing, praying and more. It’s always a pleasure to close the circle by gathering around the  Agnihotra fire. Participants have often remarked that they enjoyed the energy of the Fire.

Deepest thanks to Cherl Crews and all the organizers of Rappahannock Red Tent events, who have welcomed Agnihotra to these gatherings.

Homa Therapy Experiences

Harold Hernández
Tamesis, Colombia, South America

Good day family, Om Shree, may you be blessed and well today.

Today I want to share with you some of the wonderful things that have happened to us thanks to the practice of Homa Therapy.

House plants showed great improvement with Homa.

The first: at home, my partner (Patricia) and I have recovered our joy! She is in much better health. Her look has changed. This is so noticeable that when other people see her, they comment on it. She was in a slow recovery from very heavy symptoms that occurred after the COVID 19 vaccine. Now, with the practice of the Homa Therapy fires, we not only have hope of a total recovery, but we are seeing it.

The pink shrew tree flourished abundantly with Homa.

Second: with the plants that are inside the house, the recovery has been impressive. New leaves are born in abundance and the plants have a shine which almost illuminate the environment. The same happened with the plants outside.
It is also being observed that the offspring of the banana plants grow more vigorously and faster. We have done Agnihotra close to several trees and we are beginning to see the results. For example, a yellow guayacan tree that was since a month and a half completely without leaves, that means it didn’t have a single leaf, which is not normal – it is now beginning to sprout leaves again. And this only after 15 days of having done the Homa fire next to it.

Third: Some of our neighbors, after we invited them to an Agnihotra fire in our farm, have already started doing Agnihotra on their own. Yesterday afternoon we went to their place to do the fires together. Their appearance and temperament had improved substantially.

Fourth: A neighbor lady had received radiation in the chest area in order to prevent a recurrence of cancer that had been removed from her breasts at a very early stage, and which had no metastasis. The radiations had caused her a lot of discomfort in the esophagus, she had problems swallowing, and she suffered from burning in the entire area where the radiation had been applied. We gave her Agnihotra ash and Agnihotra ointment (ghee mixed with Agnihotra ash). She took Agnihotra ash internally and applied the ointment on her chest. After 3 days, I called her and she told me that the problem with the esophagus was solved.
After two more weeks later, after consuming all the Agnihotra ash, she told me that she no longer felt any burning on her chest!

Fifth: Finally, thanks to these fires, I have been able to move forward in ways I never thought possible; to see what I have never been able to see. So, when we receive so much, the least we can do is also give with love. Many thanks to Prof. Abel and Aleta, as well as to the entire world community of Homa Therapy, for keeping alive this science that does so much good for everyone. Receive our most sincere thanks.
God bless you. Om Shree Om.

From Shree Vasant’s Teachings

On Pacing Oneself
If you are doing all with love, with Mantra, then there is no need to push oneself too hard, too fast, too much. Pace yourself.

Plan, but leave allowances for things going wrong. RemaIn one-pointed.

Keep things simple. Simplify your life.

On Respect
Honor and have respect for each other. Do not allow yourself to feel bad even if you have been deeply hurt by someone’s words to you. You must rise above these words and realize that that person himself was already in pain for a long time. When someone hurts another, it is often to insulate oneself from pain. Often that person is afraid or is himself in pain. Of course still you feel hurt. Surrender even that pain. Why carry it with you now?

Just as you treat others with kindness and love, why not treat yourself with that same consideration? As you would comfort a child or offer understanding to a friend in need, why not treat yourself with the same respect?

On Divine Will
When you are an instrument of the Divine, whatever develops in time is HIS WILL and not your own. Be pure of heart and intention. Then whatever is the Will of the Father will be THY WILL, not my will.

Fivefold Path for Happy Living

1. Yajnya
HOMA Therapy is the science of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of FIRE. AGNIHOTRA HOMA (YAJNYA) is the basic HOMA. It is tuned to the biorhythm of sunrise/sunset and gives nutrients to the plant kingdom, removes diseases in a certain area and removes tension on the mind. This is the basic process in the Vedic sciences of medicine, agriculture, climate engineering and interplanetary communication.
2. Daan
Sharing of your assets in a spirit of humility. This corrects imbalance in financial matters and creates non-attachment to worldly possessions.
3. Tapa
Self-discipline of body and mind. This is conducive to a change in attitudes of mind and body. It results in a harmonious state of mind.
4. Karma
“You reap as you sow.” Always practicing good Karma (actions) diminishes the burden of negative Karma and one begins to invest in his own future. This means that what you do today will bring its fruits. Sowing seeds of love and kindness will bless my garden with plenty of love. Do Karma for self-purification.
5. Swadhyaya
Practice Swadhyaya (Self-study) for liberation. Who am I? Why am I here? My work on this planet is to learn to react with total LOVE with each opportunity given to me.

This is the Fivefold Path for happy living on the planet. By practicing the Fivefold Path you become better members of your society, group, religion, community, etc.
